I’m Meghan Craft, a Certified Equine Functional Nutrition Practitioner (CEFNP). My journey began with my own herd at Harmony Oaks Farm, where I saw firsthand the power of forage‑based nutrition in reducing inflammation and supporting overall well-being.
I started my small business, Horsevana, to provide services to other horse owners. The name Horse + Nirvana reflects how I want you and your horse to feel. Through, Horsevana, I now share these practices to help your horse thrive.
Nutritional Consult Services
Would you like to strengthen your horse's nutritional foundation to support overall well-being?
At Horsevana, I offer a personalized approach to equine nutrition. As a certified (independent) Equine Functional Nutrition Practitioner (CEFNP), I provide unbiased recommendations. My approach is guided by these principles:
Each horse has a unique microbiome and digestive system that affects how nutrients are processed and absorbed. Even horses living in the same environment, drinking the same water, and eating the same hay can have very different mineral and dietary needs, similar to how humans metabolize foods differently.
Many horse owners love their horses deeply but sometimes unintentionally cause harm by oversupplementing. Providing too many supplements or unnecessary additives can overwhelm your horse’s system and contribute to health problems rather than improve them. A focused, science-based approach ensures your horse gets exactly what it needs—no more, no less.
Testing is essential. Identifying specific macro and micronutrient gaps helps you avoid wasting money on unnecessary supplements and provide precisely what your horse requires.
Horses thrive on a forage-based diet, perfectly suited to their evolutionary design as natural grazers. Their digestive systems have adapted over millennia to efficiently process fibrous forage. Many health and soundness issues, including hoof problems, often stem from diets that stray from this natural foundation.

Important Information
Horsevana services are educational and supportive, and are not a replacement for veterinary care. These services are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. For any health concerns or emergencies involving your horse, always consult a licensed veterinarian
If you obtained a Minerals, Metals and Mane test from another source, you provide the test results to me and I will review the results, provide a personalized explanation of the results and a customized forage based diet plan for your horse.
I am offering this because I have seen sites offering discounted tests, only to recommend their products in response to the test results. Some owners are more confused and left to figure out what the results mean on their own.
The same products from these sites are offered to all horses, without any knowledge of what the horses current diet looks like and whether the recommended purchases will benefit the horse. I am happy to help you navigate the results and optimize your horses’s supplements and diet.
Through a message based consult, I will craft a plan you can use to transition your horse to a forage based diet. This consult is best for horses with no special needs whose owner would like to improve their dietary inputs from commercial feeds to forage first.
If you purchase Minerals, Metals and Mane tests for 2 or more horses, a herd analysis is included. This is an add-on report that provides a herd analysis visualization that shows trends in the herd as a whole.
